The executive president of the Chamber of Industries and Production (CIP) and is the first woman to hold that position in 86 years of the chamber’s history. The country’s largest guild represents a sector that contributes 30% of the total income tax generated in Ecuador and 30% of the non-oil GDP across 62 productive sectors. Jervis is also a lawyer with a degree in liberal arts, a master’s degree in international relations with a special mention in international security and human rights and, until September 2022, she was dean of the Faculty of Social and Legal Sciences at SEK International University.
