In June, Ultrapar sold its 50% stake in ConnectCar to Porto Seguro for R $ 165 million. In May, the group had sold Extrafarma to the Pague Menos group. Investors viewed the transaction as positive because it showed the approach of the group’s chief executive, Frederico Pinheiro Fleury Curado. Curado’s strategy is to focus on the group’s most important businesses, such as the Ipiranga gas station network, the LPG distributor Ultragaz and the production of special chemical products.
