Eduardo Bartolomeo, CEO of Vale, joined the company in 2004 as director of logistics operations. In March 2009, after the collapse of the Brumadinho dam, in the state of Minas Gerais, he took the leadership of the company with the mission of recovering the reputation of the iron ore, pellets, and nickel producer that also operates in the logistics, energy and steel industry areas. Since then, Vale has invested in the environmental, social, governance (ESG) agenda and has taken advantage of the cycle of high raw material prices.
