Roberto Jatahy is the president of Grupo Soma, whose IPO raised R$1.8 billion in July 2020. The group emerged in 2010 from the merger of retailers with strong names in women’s fashion targeting classes A and B (Farm and Animals) of which Jatahy was already the president. Grupo Soma bought ByNV in October last year, the first acquisition after listing, and Hering in April 2021 for R$5.1 billion.
