Telecommunications giant Millicom, with a strong presence in emerging markets in Latin America, provides mobile services to approximately 55 million customers and through its operating subsidiaries and joint ventures employs more than 21,000 people as of December 31, 2020. Mauricio Ramos is the CEO and he led the opening of Tigo (Millicom’s trademark) in Nasdaq at the beginning of 2019. In 2021, Ramos was appointed Chairman of the US-Colombia Business Council (USCBC)
