A tenacious entrepreneur with a passion for food, he was born and raised in Mexico, to where his father had emigrated after surviving the Holocaust. He is the founder of several social enterprises and of KIND, which makes the popular nutritious granola bars with fruit, created in 2004 with headquarters in New York and annual sales of more than US$215 million, and with 500 employees. The company is committed to healthy eating and the KIND movement, which donates to community projects. He is also the founder of SOMOS, a Mexican food brand for US kitchens.
