The Mexican engineer joined the toy giant in 2002. Mattel notes that under his leadership the company has made improvements in its global supply chain, with reductions in costs and time to market as well as improved service to retailers. As part of the company’s Capital Light strategy, Mattel has consolidated or exited five factories, optimized its manufacturing footprint, reduced system complexity and increased the productivity of plant infrastructure.
