Lina González-Granados

She made her debut as a conductor in 2008 with the Orquestra Juvenil de Bellas Artes de Cali and now serves as resident conductor of the Los Angeles Opera Orchestra, a position she will hold until 2025. González-Granados holds a master’s degree in conducting and a doctorate in musical arts in orchestral conducting from Boston University. In her career, she has distinguished herself as a conductor of symphonic and operatic repertoire, for which she has received several awards, such as the 2021 Sphinx Medal of Excellence.
