Cristiano Teixeira has been CEO of Klabin since 2017. He arrived at the pulp and paper company in 2011 as supply chain director. Teixeira has led the company’s project to build two new paper machines at the Ortigueira unit in Paraná. Called Puma 2, the project totals investments worth 12.9 billion reais (US$2.63 billion) and is the largest undertaken by the company in its history. In June 2023, the company started the second phase of the project with the commissioning of a new cartonboard machine with a production capacity of 460,000 tons per year. Prior to Klabin, Teixeira also worked in sectors such as forestry, metallurgy, ceramics and oil and gas, in companies such as Sumitomo, Ripasa, Sony, Duratex and San Antonio. He holds a degree in foreign trade from Universidade Paulista, an MBA in international trade from FIA and a master’s degree in logistics from Ecole Supérieure des Affaires in France.
