With his peers at Nutresa and Argos, he led the legal strategy at Grupo Sura to confront the legal strategies of the Gilinski family, which attempted to control the board of directors of Sura with the purpose of later controlling the rest of the GEA companies. He also had to face public opinion regarding the comments made by Sura’s statutory auditor on conditions and agreements signed in the past with his partners in Sura Asset Management. He is a lawyer graduated from the University of Medellín with a specialization in insurance from Swiss Re, Zurich, and completed a CEOs´ management program at the Kellogg School of Management in Chicago. Announced that he will step down as chairman of the company no later than April 2024.
