He was nominated by the stock exchanges of Peru, Santiago (Chile) and Colombia, to be the president of the regional holding company in which the 3 stock exchanges have been working for more than a year. The integration is expected to be completed in 2024 and to have a market capitalization exceeding US$700,000 million. In 2005 he became president of the BVC. He is an economist from Universidad de Los Andes and holds a master’s degree and doctorate in economics from the University of Pennsylvania. He was director of public credit at MinHacienda and has worked at the IDB, DNP and the IMF.
