Roberto Urquía

Roberto Urquía is the CEO of Aceitera General Deheza (AGD). National senator for the province of Córdoba between 2003 and 2009, Urquía is one of the main referents of the agribusiness sector in the country, leading a company dedicated to the production of vegetable proteins and oils, biodiesel and refined glycerin. In mid 2023, in a meeting with the Minister of Economy, Sergio Massa, Urquía ratified that the company will invest US$54 million to produce Bioethanol at its plant in Córdoba, which will allow AGD to increase its production capacity by 50%. His foundation, called Multiplicar, presented a proposal to increase Argentinean agricultural exports from US$47 billion per year to more than US$91 billion by 2030.
