Andrés Carrillo

Andrés leads EPM, the second largest public company in Colombia after Ecopetrol. Despite the uncertainties surrounding the Ituango Hydroelectric Project, last November he managed to get units 1 and 2 into operation. In addition, he has presented several times a draft agreement to the Medellín City Council to approve the company’s sale of its stake in UNE EPM Telecomunicaciones, although so far it has not received the go-ahead. He is a civil and environmental engineer with a master’s degree in environmental management from Universidad de Los Andes.
