In 2020, Laura Barnator became the first woman to head the regional and Uruguayan operations of the mass consumer goods company Unilever. She was practically born in the company, since her father worked there and she herself as held a job in the company for 29 years. In the midst of the pandemic, she had to readapt the company’s strategy to increase demand for essential items.
