Carmen Perez is a cattle farmer and owner of Agropecuária Orvalho das Flores, in Barra do Garças (Mato Grosso state), with a herd of approximately 3 thousand head. It became a world reference in animal welfare when it became the first farm in Brazil to completely eliminate the use of branding in the herd, in 2016. Coming from a family linked to the sugar and ethanol industry in the interior of São Paulo, he migrated from São Paulo to Mato Grosso at the age of 22.
