She dedicates her expertise on a research agenda focusing on the relationship between social inequality and the functioning of the Mexican justice system with emphasis on the institutions of criminal prosecution. The academic has recently been nominated for a seat in the Board of Directors of BBVA Mexico, the largest Mexican financial institution. Ever since Magaloni’s incorporation, two women will now have a seat in the 16-member board, whose appointment will be ratified every three years.
