Horacio Velutini is the president of Fondo de Valores Inmobiliarios that seeks to make Las Mercedes urbanization, in Caracas, a “little Manhattan”. To do this, he recently called for a Public Offering of Shares, which in the first round raised more than US $ 2.5 million. In Venezuela, the FVI has been developing state-of-the-art shopping centers and real estate projects for almost 30 years. In the Dominican Republic, it has developed the BlueMall shopping centers in Santo Domingo (where JW Marriot operates its award-winning first hotel in the Caribbean) and Punta Cana, among other real estate projects. It plans to continue developing shopping centers outside Venezuela.
