She is the Head of the Tax Administration Service, the highest tax authority in Mexico. She is known as ‘the iron prosecutor’, a nickname she does not disapprove. She was appointed in December 2019 with the mission of collecting and reaching the tax revenue target for 2020. Despite the shutdown of the economy due to the pandemic she managed to bring in 3.3 billion pesos to the public coffers, an amount that implied practically achieving the revenue goal for that year. Her secret is focused on taxing large companies and it intends to continue with the same strategy in 2022.
