The 45-year-old businessman is the son of Julio Mario Santo Domingo, who until his death was the second richest man in the country after Luis Carlos Sarmiento Angulo. Santo Domingo was the owner of 13% of SABMiller after the sale of the Bavaria to the multinational and prior to the operation with Ab InBev. His businesses in the media, logistics, energy and the tourism sectors, among others, depend on the family holding Valorem. Currently, he and his family are among the richest persons in the country.
