President of the supermarket chain that six years ago was reconfigured after the sale of 160 branches to its competitor, Organización Soriana. Under a format focused on serving middle- and upper-class consumers, La Comer, with almost 80 stores, increased its sales by 4.3% in units with at least one year of operation in 2021. The company added 62 million customers, 5% more than in 2020, while the boost to the digital channel caused online sales to account for 13% of the total.
