Edgard Corona is the founder and CEO of Smart Fit, the largest fitness company in Latin America, with more than 1,100 gyms in 13 countries and about 3.5 million members. He is considered the pioneer in the model of low-cost gyms in Brazil and in the region, which multiplied the size of the market. In 1996, he founded Bio Ritmo, one of the largest fitness groups in the country. In July 2021, Smart Fit went public on the B3 stock index, raising R$2.3 billion, in the sector’s debut in the stock market.
