From the union between the Colombian (Freddy Vega) and the Guatemalan (Christian Van der Henst) came Platzi in 2014, the largest Spanish-speaking technology school in the world. At the end of 2021 the company raised US$60 million in a series B round, achieving the largest investment since its foundation and becoming the first Latin American edtech to captivate Prosus, one of the largest technology investors in the world.
