Jorge Mario Velásquez

The CEO of Grupo Argos since April 1, 2016, he came to the position after having developed a professional career of more than 30 years in Cementos Argos. He joined Argos as an intern and became CEO of the company. In the last year, and led the defense strategy of Grupo Empresarial Antioqueño (Grupo Sura, Grupo Argos, Grupo Nutresa, and Grupo Bancolombia) against the hostile takeover bid initiated in November 2021 by Colombian banker Jaime Gilinski Bacal.
