Juan Carlos is the owner of Banesco, the largest private financial institution in Venezuela, with 30 years of existence, more than 8,900 employees and accounting for 40% of payment management in the country, according to Sudeban. He also heads Banesco International, with a presence in Venezuela, Spain, the US, Panama, Puerto Rico, Brazil, Dominican Republic, Colombia, Switzerland, Germany, Portugal, the UK and France. He was appointed chairman at Abanca, in Spain, in 2017 and his net worth is valued at US$3.5 billion. He debuted on Forbes’ rich list in 2021. In 2022, he ranked 901st.
