The founder and CEO of Samay, a startup focused on improving the quality of life of people living with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, María studied medical science at the Universidad Javeriana and carried out postdoctoral studies at Harvard’s Department of Genetics and at the University of Washington and the University of California at Berkeley-San Francisco, where she obtained master’s degrees in public health and translational medicine, respectively.
