Tiendanube, the startup that develops e-commerce platforms for companies, was founded by Santiago Sosa in 2010. Its first capital inflow, in the amount of US$300.000, took place in 2011. The company attracted an additional $120 million in three rounds afterwards, but its biggest round was in 2021, when it garnered US$500 million, reaching a valuation of US$3,1 bilion. With these funds, the new unicorn will seek to complete its expansion to Colombia and launch in Peru and Chile in 2022. The company is looking to have 2.100 employees by next year.
