Yulimar Rojas

A Venezuelan athlete, born in Puerto La Cruz, the 27-year-old won the gold medal in triple jump at the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games, which were held in 2021. The following year she became world champion, which she had already achieved in 2017 and 2019. In 2022 she won the World Indoor Championships, setting a record of 15.74 meters in her jump in the World Indoor final, a Guinness World Record, and in 2020 she was named World Athletics’ Female Athlete of the Year.
