Santiago Peralta founded Pacari in 2002, under a business model with triple benefits: social, environmental and economic. Through it, he has managed to make Ecuador stand out not only as a producer of the best cacao, but also of one of the best chocolates in the world. After more than two decades, this lawyer-trained business leader, who has been at the helm of Pacari as CEO, has set the course for a pioneering proposal with more than 300 awards around the world, and the acceptance of Pacari in more than 40 international markets. In 2013, the Fine Chocolate Association named him “Best Chocolatier in the World,” a recognition awarded for the first time to a Latin American. He is also a member of Columbia University’s Latin American Entrepreneurship Program.
