Marcos Lutz

Marcos Lutz has been CEO of Ultrapar since January 2022 and a member of the board of directors. He has worked at Cosan, Rumo, CSN and Ultracargo. As Ultrapar’s top executive, he has pursued a strategy of growth via mergers and acquisitions, with the recent purchase of compressed natural gas specialist NEOgás and solar energy startup Stella. This year, the company signed a contract to buy 50% of Opla Logística Avançada, Brazil’s largest independent ethanol terminal. In 2023, the company has been showing growth in important indicators and margins, with a highlight being the Ipiranga fuel station chain business - even in a scenario of oscillations caused by the fuel sector.
