Tarciana Medeiros

In early 2023, Tarciana Medeiros became the first woman president of Banco do Brasil, the oldest bank in the country and one of the oldest in the world, founded in 1808. An employee of the institution, she was executive manager of clients and solutions for individuals until her appointment by Brazil’s Finance Minister Fernando Haddad. In her acceptance speech, she stated that she will strive to deliver results for shareholders and for the development of the country, with transparent management.
