He is the CEO of Constructora Sambil, a group of companies dedicated to the construction, creation, representation, and marketing of major brands, as well as the management of shopping malls, hotels, residential buildings, and offices. Last year he led the recovery of one of its main shopping centers in Caracas, the Sambil de La Candelaria, which had been taken over by the Venezuelan government 14 years ago. The company has another seven similar ones in the rest of the country, and another three between Madrid, Curaçao and the Dominican Republic. Constructora Sambil also inaugurated on behalf of the family corporation a housing project with loan payments, driven by the slight economic recovery in the country. Cohen is also in charge of the Venezuelan Chamber of Shopping Centers in that country, and his name appears as one of the wealthiest men in Venezuela.
