He chairs the Board of Directors of the century-old glass company headquartered in northeastern Mexico. In the last year, Vitro closed a couple of plants located in the United States due to restructuring of its automotive business, which during the first months of the pandemic faced a drop in demand and has been disrupted by the shortage of chips. At the end of June, Vitro announced an investment of US$120 million in a new kiln located in Nuevo León, allowing the company to meet the growing demand in Latin America in segments such as construction.
