Daniel Scandian is the founder and CEO of MadeiraMadeira, an e-commerce platform aimed at home products that was created as a tele sales company in 2009. The company currently operates as a marketplace for other retailers and has over 1.700 employees, according to data from LinkedIn – with 130% growth over the past two years. The company based in Curitiba, state of Paraná, is already considered a Brazilian unicorn after raising US$190 million in a funding round in early 2021.
