This was one of the first digital platforms that allowed currency exchange operations from Peruvian soles to U.S. dollars in Peru. It was founded in 2016 by Daniel Bonifaz Zegarra and Paulo Valdiviezo, and was one of the winners of fifth and sixth startup generation of StartUp Perú in 2017. After that success it carried out a financing round and by September of that year it had exchanged some 20 million soles. In 2018, Kambista received seed capital funding of $25,000 to expand its operations in Argentina. To 2021, Kambista has more than 116,000 users and has exchanged more than $824 million.
