José Almeida

José Almeida leads a healthcare company with revenue of US$12.78 billion in 2021. Almeida’s corporate mission since 2016 has been to guide the company through its transformation with a focus on innovation and operational excellence. Frequently named as one of the most influential executives in the pharma and healthcare sector, Almeida was born in Brazil and trained as a mechanical engineer at Instituto Mauá de Tecnologia. This fall, Almeida joined Bank of America’s board of directors overseeing the Audit and Compensation and Human Capital committees. He is also a trustee of the prestigious Northwestern University.
