Aimée Sentmat de Grimaldo

She is the first woman to head the board of directors of the Panamanian Banking Association. In December 2022, the International Finance Corporation (IFC) granted a US$300 million loan to Banistmo, Panama’s leading financial institution, where she serves as executive president. Under her leadership, the bank became the first in Latin America to issue a social bond with a gender focus. In 2022, she was named among the top 10 business leaders in Panama prepared by the Monitor Empresarial de Reputación Corporativa (MERCO).
