The Venezuelan native is Chairman and CEO of AES, a US electric power utility with operations in 15 countries. He also serves as Chairman of the Board of Directors of the North American Partnership for the Council of the Americas, and is a member of the US-Brazil CEO Forum and the US-India CEO Forum.
