Why choose it: Famed Peruvian chef Gastón Acurio has something that brings together the best of several worlds at La Mar: an unbeatable location and authentic flavors, whether with imported or local ingredients. La Mar is part of the attractions of the Mandarin Oriental hotel. Located right next to the sea, on the island in front of Brickell, from its lounges and terrace it offers one of the best views of one of Miami’s luxury districts. Its menu features Peruvian classics such as ceviches, loins and soups. There is also a very extensive wine, beer and liquor menu for pairing.
Business tips: Even if it is a business meeting, try to get a table on the terrace; it is the ideal place to enjoy the whole experience that La Mar offers. Pay attention to the dress code as the Mandarin Oriental requires one to be “smartly dressed”. This does not mean a suit and long dress, but avoid wearing flip-flops and beachwear to the restaurant.
