Cristina Junqueira is the co-founder and president of Nubank, the largest financial technology company in Latin America. She started her career at Unibanco and went through Itaú and LuizaCred. In 2013, together with her partners David Vélez and Edward Wible, she launched the digital bank, which reached a market value of US$ 30 billion after a capital injection from Berkshire Hathaway in June 2021. In 2020, Junqueira was the only Brazilian in Fortune’s 40 Under 40 ranking, which brings together relevant personalities under 40 years of age.
