Djamila Ribeiro is a leading philosopher, researcher and activist of the black cause. She has written the best-selling book Short Anti-racist Handbook, best-selling Brazilian book in 2020 according to Amazon, in addition to the books Who’s Afraid of Black Feminism? and Lugar de Fala (Place of Speech in English). In 2019, Djamila was voted by the French government as the Person of the Future. In June of this year, she became the first Brazilian to be a laureate at the BET Awards, the most important award in the American black community.
