Founded in 2016 by the three Colombians, Liftit was born as a technological solution to logistical problems in Colombia, but soon expanded its business to other countries in the region, such as Ecuador, Brazil, Mexico and Chile. It started with the idea of transporting people by truck, where they saw an opportunity to connect transporters with people, but then moved into the corporate segment, adding Walmart, Pepsi and Grupo Bimbo among their customers. Joining startups that managed to raise capital in the midst of the pandemic, Liftit wants to invest in artificial intelligence and machine learning looking to drive costs down.
