Ontop was founded in the middle of the coronavirus pandemic in 2020. Santiago Aparicio, Julián Torres, and Jaime Abella found that teleworking was an opportunity to develop a platform that allows them to hire and pay employees who work remotely in different countries, mainly in Latin America, but without neglecting large markets such as the US or Spain. Among their most notable achievements is raising more than US$1 million in capital and being admitted to the winter 2021 batch of YCombinator, the world’s most relevant startup accelerator. Based in Bogotá, but with a vision in the world, Colombian entrepreneurs build a promising startup.
