Lair Hanzen is president of Yara Fertilizantes’ operations for the Americas, which includes Brazil, Latin America and North America. Responsible for managing virtually half of Yara’s US$13 billion global revenue in Brazil, Hanzen was responsible for the company’s expansion, having invested more than US$3 billion since 2012, with the acquisition of Vale’s nitrogen production unit, Bunge’s fertilizer unit, among others.
