During the pandemic, the company focused its efforts on its omnichannel strategy and improving its customers’ shopping experience. In June 2021, Grupo Coppel agreed to a loan with a syndicate of banks for 40 billion pesos (US$2 billion), the largest ever granted to a private company in Mexico. These resources will be used mostly to improve the conglomerate’s debt profile.
