Alfredo Cohen is co-director of the Venezuelan Grupo Sambil, which has built hundreds of residential and office buildings, 7 hotels and 14 shopping centers. This last business diversified successfully in 1998 with the inauguration of the Sambil Caracas. From then on, they replicated the experience in other cities in Venezuela and the Dominican Republic, Curazao and Spain. The Sambil Willemstad Center, for example, is the largest and most innovative in Curazao and in the entire Dutch Caribbean. They plan to continue growing in Spain, where they already have the Sambil Outlet in Madrid, and they do not rule out venturing into Central America.
