He has spent 42 years of his life working at Grupo Gigante. In 2000 he assumed the general management and in January 2018 he took over the presidency of the Board of Directors. In 2007, the company sold its supermarkets to Soriana; however, today it retains brands such as El Farolito, Toks, Office Depot, Radio Shack, The Home Store and Petco in Mexico, while developing and managing real estate projects. In 2019, it reached an agreement with Shake Shack, the American restaurant chain based in New York, to open 30 restaurants in 10 years.
