She became the second woman in the history of Banco de México to hold the position of deputy governor for the current period that started on January 1, 2021 and lasts until December 31, 2028. Upon her arrival at the central bank, she celebrated that gender equality is a reality in the Governing Board. She has 19 years of experience in public financial management. She began her career in the sector in 2001 in the Government of the Federal District. Her last position at the federal level was in the Federal Treasury, where she held the position from December 2018 until her appointment to the central bank.
