Luz Adriana Ramirez describes herself as passionate about driving digital transformation in the financial sector in Mexico. She began her duties as general manager for Visa in the country in August 2013, but before that she worked for 18 years at General Electric, where she also assumed the role of leader of the GE Women Network for Latin America. For Visa Mexico, 2020 was a disruptive year that advanced its regional ‘cashless’ strategy in response to the need for new forms of payment due to the pandemic. She also strengthened alliances with companies that reconfigure the forms of consumption in the economy, such as Rappi, to extend digital payments.
