  • Sector: Automotive
  • Company: BMW México
  • Country: México

In July 2018, she became the first Mexican woman to assume the general management of BMW in the country. Escobedo, an economist by profession, fell in love with the automobile industry by chance, while looking to join the Mexican Stock Exchange or an investment bank. Her first job in this industry ended up turning into a trajectory of more than 20 years that took her to the managerial levels, more so due to her ability than because of a gender quota. She is currently preparing to start production of the BMW 2 Series Coupé sports car in Mexico at the San Luis Potosí plant, which will be exported to all international markets. She also maintains hers focus on promoting sustainable mobility with hybrid and electric cars and charging stations between Puebla, Mexico City and San Luis Potosí, the largest electric corridor in Latin America.
