SoftBank Group’s Operator School (SBOS) will resume on February 24 its seven-week program designed to equip startup founders and operators to build and manage startups in South Florida, Latin America and beyond.

The program targets startups from Seed to IPO. This year’s program follows SBOS launch in 2021, which was done in partnership with Florida International University, Miami Dade College and the University of Miami. According to SoftBank, in 2021, over 5,000 registrants from 50 countries attended the classes, and thousands more watched the lessons on-demand.

With Operator School, the Japanese conglomerate wants to cultivate a new generation of diverse tech talent. SoftBank says it complements the operating content that the SoftBank Latin America Fund provides its founders.

The curriculum covers tech startup operations, the venture capital ecosystem, and how to add value in the tech industry. Operator School will feature an online master class speaker series focused on venture capital and startup fundraising, which will be hosted remotely by Laura Gaviria Halaby, head of ecosystem development and crypto value creation for SoftBank Group International, and available to the general public online. Topics will include: Introduction to Venture Capital, Startup Valuation, Fundraising Process, Pitching, Term Sheets, Deal Negotiation, Board Management, and Growth Venture Capital.
